Awake to glory of the Lord- Luke 9:32

In Luke 9:32 we read, but Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep and when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who stood with Him. This passage deals with the Transfiguration of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here we see just a glimpse of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ but what amazes me most is the fact that when this glorious event is taking place -when Jesus is being transformed, when his face is altered, when his robes becoming white and glistening; we find that the three people there with the Lord Jesus Christ is actually heavy with sleep and they’re missing out the glory of the Lord. But later on when they’re fully awake, they saw His Glory.

Are we fully awake to see the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, be it in church, be it in work, be it in a house or are we sleeping and are we pretending to be asleep and missing out the glory of the Lord Jesus Christy. Let us take stock and see whether we are seeing the Lord in all his glory in all the events and circumstances of our life.
