WITNESSING THE GOSPEL
Posted here is the sermon delivered by Br. J B Nicholson at Bethesda Assembly, Bangalore in the year 2008.
Passage of Reference: 2 Cor 4:15-18
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Expounding from 2 Cor 4:15-18, Br. J B Nicholson encourages believers to be fervent in Witnessing the gospel. Apart from the fact that believers are asked to shine as light of the world, it is also required that they herald, speak & preach the gospel. Witnessing is done by deed & word; manifestly & audibly. In the following sermon, Br. Nicholson draws many important and valuable lessons on witnessing, tackling the many failures encountered in it.
